Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This site is run by Smith Design Studios, LLC. This page explains what information the site collects when you visit justinsmith.work or contact me through it, what I do with it, and who else handles it.

If you have a question about any of this, email design@justinsmith.work.

What I collect

When you send the contact form. The form asks for your name and email address. You can also choose a project type and write a message. I receive what you enter, along with the date and time you sent it. I do not ask for a phone number, and the site has no accounts to register for.

When you visit any page. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare’s servers receive technical details with each request: your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. I do not use it to identify you.

Analytics. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and how the site performs. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other sites. The site has no advertising trackers.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie. If you enter the password for the Work section, a cookie remembers that you did, so you are not asked on every page. It holds no personal information and expires after 30 days.

If a wrong password is entered, the site keeps a count against the IP address it came from for up to fifteen minutes, to limit guessing. The count is then deleted.

How I use what I collect

  • To reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about.
  • To keep the site running and secure.
  • To understand which pages are useful.

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for advertising. I do not send marketing email.

Who else handles it

I share information only with the companies that run parts of this site for me, and only so they can provide that service:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, runs the contact form’s processing, and provides the page analytics.
  • Resend, which delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
  • Microsoft, which provides the mailbox where those messages are stored. The mailbox is set up through GoDaddy.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if the business is sold or merged, in which case this policy would continue to apply to information already collected.

How long I keep it

I keep contact form messages for as long as we are in conversation and for up to six months afterwards, then delete them. Cloudflare keeps its own request logs for a limited time under its own policies.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and contact form messages are sent to me over encrypted connections. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee it.

Your choices

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email design@justinsmith.work and I will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Children

This site is for businesses and professionals. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent information through the site, email me and I will delete it.

The site links to LinkedIn, Instagram and to sites I have worked on. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

Changes

If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, I will note what changed.
